Education: Southwestern College of Kansas, B.S. in biology and chemistry. Northeastern State University College of Optometry: Doctor of Optometry. Residency; West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, Primary Care Optometry and Geriatric Optometry. The Doctor of Optometry degree is a 4 year degree after undergraduate college. Residencies in optometry are not required, but are voluntarily undertaken to receive a higher level of education/competence in an area.
